Privacy Policy
1) Who we are
The Pet Casebook is an online satire magazine operated by SEO by Yoni FZC (United Arab Emirates). This Privacy Policy covers the magazine only. It does not apply to any shop, checkout, or hybrid experiences.
Privacy contact: info@petcasebook.com
Editorial contact (identification concerns): editorial@petcasebook.com
2) Scope and audience
Our content primarily targets readers in the United States but may be accessible worldwide. We do not intentionally target the EEA or UK; if you are located there, relevant sections apply where required by law.
3) What we do not collect by default
We do not offer user accounts or comments and do not require you to submit personal data to read the magazine.
4) What you may choose to share
Contact us: If you email us or use our contact form, we process the information you provide (typically name, email address, and country) to respond and keep basic records of the correspondence.
Newsletter (optional): If you subscribe, we process your email address (and optionally your name and country) to send editorial updates. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in our emails or by contacting us. We do not use these details for marketing without your explicit consent and we do not create user profiles.
5) Cookies and analytics
- We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand aggregated traffic, such as pages viewed, device type, and approximate region. We do not receive information that directly identifies you.
- In the EEA and UK, non essential cookies (including analytics) are blocked until you provide consent in the banner.
- Where technically feasible, we honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals.
- GA4 data retention is configured to up to 14 months.
You can control cookies in your browser settings at any time.
6) Embedded content and third parties
Articles may include embedded content from platforms such as YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, X, or Vimeo. These services may set their own cookies and collect usage data. In the EEA and UK, non essential third party embeds are blocked until you provide consent in the banner.
7) Legal bases for processing (if EEA/UK law applies)
- Consent: analytics cookies and third party embeds.
- Legitimate interests: operating a secure, reliable magazine and responding to your messages.
We do not conduct automated decision making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
8) No sale or sharing for targeted advertising (US laws)
We do not sell personal information and do not share it for cross context behavioral advertising as defined by the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended by CPRA) and similar state laws.
9) Your rights and how to exercise them
Your rights depend on your location. Where applicable, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, port, or limit/opt out of certain processing, and to object to processing based on legitimate interests. You can withdraw consent at any time. To exercise rights, email info@petcasebook.com. We will verify your request and respond within the time required by law (typically 30 to 45 days). If you are in the EEA/UK, you may also complain to your local data protection authority. If you are in California, you may use an authorized agent; we will verify both you and your agent.
10) Retention
- Contact messages: kept for up to 12 months from your last interaction unless you request earlier deletion or we must keep them longer to establish or defend legal claims.
- Newsletter records: retained until you unsubscribe; we may keep a minimal suppression record to honor opt out requests.
- Analytics: retained by GA4 for up to 14 months per configuration.
We delete or anonymize data when no longer needed for the purposes described.
11) International data transfers
Because we operate from the UAE and use global service providers, your information may be processed in countries other than your own, for example the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses and provider measures.
12) Security
We use TLS encryption across the site, enforce multi factor authentication for administrator and email access, and maintain encrypted backups with limited retention. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure.
13) Children
The magazine is intended for adults (18+). We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact info@petcasebook.com and we will delete it.
14) Government and legal requests
We may disclose information if required by applicable law or a valid legal process. We seek to limit any disclosure to what is legally necessary. When permitted, we will notify affected parties before producing information or as soon as legally allowed.
15) Content that could identify a person
Our satire is not intended to identify private individuals. If you believe a piece inadvertently relates to you, contact editorial@petcasebook.com; we aim to evaluate and respond within 10 business days.
16) Service providers and third parties
We engage limited service providers to operate the magazine, for example web hosting, email, analytics, content delivery, security and anti abuse services. They process information on our instructions and under confidentiality obligations. A current list or description of providers is available on request at info@petcasebook.com.
17) Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy. The new version will be posted here with a new Last updated date. Continued use of the magazine after an update signifies acceptance of the changes.
